Probably the easiest thing in the world to do, however on my 4th attempt it still looks rather rubbish.
Is there any hints, tips or tricks on how to do it? What do you do to make decent looking hair/fur?

Modelling with greenstuff isn't something I know about but rather something I'd like to learn more about.
How are you doing the hairy-fur at the moment?

Sticking a blob on, poking it with a sculpting tool. It goes all bitty and crap. If I squint it looks ok....

Hi 3ff3ct,
easiest way i've done thick fur is to find a small triangle shaped tool and press it sideways into the GS, starting at the bottom and working up to the top of the object ( like tiles on a roof ), doing this in an irregular pattern gives the best effect. Hair is a bit more tricky, i found a scalpel drawn through the GS works well but if done too much gives the "bitty" effect you describe, other way ive heard of is to get fine wire ( 3amp electrical wire ) and pull apart the strands then form them into a "hairstyle" and superglue to the mini.
hope this helps.

The sculpting tool is a bit too big to give a nice effect... I use an old metal dental pick and the tip of an Xacto knife blade to "pull" furrows into the GS, and have gotten some really nice hair/fur effects in the past. Practice a bit and see if you find a technique that gives you a result you're please with. Also remember to keep your tools wet as you work the GS!

Also remember to keep your tools wet as you work the GS! Ah yes, I forgot about that too, Ive been using swear words as lubrication..
