RT (or anyone else for that matter), whats the points limit for the Tempest games? Or, if there's no limit www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFd5Cci_pE4, what would you recommend for a noob? Hey 3ff3ct, sorry for taking a while to get back to you, I've spent the last two days in an alcoholic haze. Points Limits and Force Composition are being corralled into one thing. You have 24 Guardsmen, split into 4 five-man fireteams and a 4-man retinue. You have one leader. All have flak armour, lasguns and a close combat weapon automatically. Leader equipment and skills is decided by prior arrangement with me. You can have one specialist fire team, equipped with:
- Carapace Armour (4+) - Camouflage (Additional -1 to enemy shooting when in cover) - Sniper Team (replace fireteam with 2-man Marksman sniper team) - Special Weapons team (may select either one emplaced weapon or an additional heavy weapon) - Upgrade the team to Marksman/Warrior level fighters.
In addition, you may trade one Fire Team to equip your entire formation with one of these upgrades:
Marksman/Warrior Upgrade Carapace Armour Camo Gear (Additional -1 To Hit when in cover) 1 Combat Drugs upgrade .
You may add another fireteam for: Downgrading your formation to Light Armour (6+); Downgrading your formation to Levy Troop Quality. Also guys, I want full army lists in my PM box so I can edit and clarify all your points and send them back to you.

I don't have any codexes so I have no clue what I have in my list points wise.
And I'll probably get more by next year!

Having access to a codex in advance would be preferable since you’d be able to plan out what you wanted to bring and think about tactics.
Last time however Dave hadn’t got round to getting codex Orks, since he was only just getting into them and was spending his time laying his hand on a reasonable number of models. I leant him my copy of Codex Orks on the first evening when we were all hanging out at the Travelodge and he was able to work out a reasonable list for himself that evening.
There will definitely be Guard and Ork codex around. Is it the vanilla Space Marine codex you’ll be wanting to use? Will you be bringing more than one army?

I'll get my hands on a Codex soon.
Probably just a large Space Marine Army yeah, but I could always bring my small Ork and Imperial forces in case anyone wanted to add some more to theirs.

Are you carrying it all from Sussex to Mansfield on the train?

Hadn't thought of that. In that case it'll only be my Marines!

So, the poll has locked and the date that 'won' was: Friday 13th April to Sunday 15th April.
Gentlemen (and ladies) start booking your rooms, transport and time off (if neccessary)!

Anyone want to share a room? I don't mind booking it for those who are a bit strapped/don't have a card etc I'll also have room in the car if lifts are needed (anywhere around liverpool/manchester) although Trix has called shotgun already.

Booking rooms can wait until the dentist aka the Angel of Death is finally done with me and finished raping my wallet. I owe him a tenner. (In exchange for pain. Git!)

O.o...
I've got my 2nd KR multi-case today. That means I reckon I can carry 7.5k with me and get a hernia.. Plus the new model kaiser 3s have loads of extra pocket to carry templates, dice, etc. On top of that I've located my other set of dice (the lucky green and blue ones) and my tin of green plastic 40k counters...
Yippee! I'm a walking troop carrier!

For those of you who are travelling by train, from (or through) London to Mansfield, do you want to coordinate and get on the same train?

emptyhat think you have to change trains at least 2 times to get from london to mansfield... doesn't make much sense to me. got to change at grantham then nottingham. But then again I have to change at nottingham too.
