i have to do most of my painting after dark and am struggling to get enough light into my painting area to see the models/paints clearly.
what do people use to get the best results, spot lights lamps? how bright is bright enough?
any suggestions welcome...

I usually use one or two plain old lamps when painting at night... I'm in a fairly small room when I paint though.

The best thing I ever bought was a daylight bulb. It does exactly what it's meant to. It's like painting during the day. At night.
I broke my lamp though, and am now struggling to find a lamp with the same bulb fitting.... Grr!
