I present to you in all its fuzzy picture glory my half track hydras. Longer then a chim, no opponent should complain. Its easier to hit the side armour that way. ;D For $9-10 and a quad gun from the GW wall set you can create your own Hydra. Hers one of mine, the kit is a 1:32 ez build M3A1 half track and some random GW bits thrown on it with . Side Front Top beside a chim

Did you look at any other halftracks when you were picking this out? I like the look of it and I'm tempted to make a battery for myself.

I was mainly looking at cost, I had a few quad guns left over, so all together I bought 3 for about $30 threw some quad guns on the back of it, pasted some plasti card on the drivers cab threw a few bits on the cab to 40k it and repainted it. oh and I threw a heavy bolter in the passenger part of the cab from the heavy weapons set.
they were the cheapest/scale models I could find.

Very cool, I might paint mine in PDF colours to get around the size ratio difference (their only PDF, they don't know any better) but yeah, great idea for the Guardsman on a budget (ie everyone).

I've looked at a lot of ww2 vehicles at 1/35 scale and thought the wheels and tracks looked a little skinny... but from your pics that looks pretty beefy... I like... seems a good chassis for any arty or aa platform

Looks good, I recently bought a load of these for a Blood Pact project, but I've got the M16 version to use as a Hydra. I'll probably convert the Maxon mount to take Autocannons.

Does it fit 40K stuff well, I mean in ratio?
