It's been a while since I painted any guard, I did quite a few in 2009 when I started my first guard army, but since I emmigrated and left all my figures in storage I've been mostly working on my Dark Eldar. Anyway, recently I put together some Inquisitorial Stormtroopers using Cadian bits so here are some WIP pics. Victoria Lamb head and backpack, the rest Cadian parts. The gun is meant to be some kind of Hellgun carbine using a larger power pack in place of the backpack mounted one. Maybe it's more useful in the tight confines of a space hulk corridor? More highlighting to do and the base to finish. IMG_1328 by SirTainly, on Flickr Maxmini torso and head, Scout arms with the sholder pads removed (and the arms shortened slightly) and Cadian legs. I'm liking what I see I've not seen much in the way of Maximini parts before, they look great combined with the guardsman bits and scout arms though. Are you building an =I= army? I'd be interested in seeing any other conversions you've done, and seeing how these fellas fit into the army

Thanks, I really rate Maxmini and Kromlech so try to use as much of their stuff as I can (I have parts from both for my IG and =I= forces). Right now I'm just completing units for an Inquisitorial force that I started prior to the latest codex no real plans to play with them competitively for now. The only other thing I've done for this army is start on a wheeled Chimera kits from Chapterhouse. IMG_1301 by SirTainly, on Flickr

The first one's gun is a bit rough here and there. I would also do something to the barrell. Right now the entire gun looks to monochrome and thus the barrell just looks like a piece of plastic. Maybe a diffrent (metal) colour or some sort of sight would make it look better?

Great conversions, with the bitz. I've often wondered what the Maxmini armoured torso looks like and what bitz can attach to it. Looks like cadian lasgun arms won't fit, but the scout arms work a treat.

Doesn't look half bad at all, a very respectable effort indeed. Well done sir, well done.
