I just use old brushes that are frayed but stiff.

Don't buy the GW brushes. They are rediculously overpriced.
Especially the drybrushing one.

Inexcess do brushes that are reasonably hard for 50p, but if you want better quallity go for the army painter Wargamer: Vehicle & Scenery, brush.

I use old decorating brushes for big stuff, and just old knackered brushes for smaller stuff. Don't waste money on a brush you only intend to do in anyway! Buy yourself a nice new painting brush and use an old one

If you want to weather a brush, and make it 'old', get some wash on it, and leave it overnight, it will be suitably dry and hard ( you may need to break apart the bristles, this was discovered by accident )
