Can anyone tell me if Cadian torsos fit with Tau fire warrior legs? I couldn't find anything using google. I was thinking about getting some to use for drop troops, but was unsure if it would be worthwhile.

I don't know of they fit, but Tau basically have hooves, so if they do fit, you'll have to sort that bit out too.

The hooves really isn't as much of an inconvenience as one might think.
Just cut the hooves from the tau legs, and the boots off the IG legs and the IG boots are the perfect diameter for the tau legs.

my issue with thatt would be wasting legs as the tau bodies can be used too

Try and use green stuff to sort the feet out.

^^^A very small blob of GS in the hoof arch will make it look like a boot

I have done these conversions. If you feel like doing feet swaps and have any old pewter Imperial Guardsmen, I happened to have oldschool Stormtroopers and Catachan Demolition Charge models, I find they are scaled slightly smaller than plastic Cadians and work very well with Tau legs. Tau legs give the model a slimmer look though. You also have to find the right feet for positioning because I have some models that look like they are doing ballet..

Their is no way anything 'tau' could be transformed into something that badass, you are clearly very talented at conversions.

Ugh I just realized this is a bad example since it has an Eldar torso. Sorry about that. I'm not trying to jack the thread, just showing some examples.

Looks great! The problem for me would be the cost of the two kits, if there was a way to combine Guard legs and Tau torsos as well...

Thanks I just happened to have "spare" Tau parts so I decided to go for it. I checked the prices for Guardsmen and now I think I would rather just buy Stormtroopers and Kasrkin over the plastics if I were ever to invest into more 4+ save units. (Back in my day 20 Catachan cost 20$)

Here's a couple of pictures where I put a Cadian torso on Tau legs. The gunner has the tau legs but the original left feet has been replaced with a Catachan boot. The right hoof has been hidden behind some grass.
