Advice on gloves for modelling. I was cutting up a load of sprue rubble and looked down to see that where I had been gripping my plastic clippers I had torn up the skin on my fingers quite badly. No blood but it has opened up a nice area that goes down to the red looking new skin and I imagine that this will chaffe for the rest of the week Anyway I’ll be wearing gloves next time but I wanted to know what sort I should get. I think light weight, maybe rubbed coated on the palm-side.

get a rugged manly job your hands will toughen up in no time.... :-)

Hahahahahahaha Empty you big nancy! SUCK IT UP! ;D
I dont think gloves would do that much to be honest, it sounds as though it has just rubbed the skin (which I imagine gloves would make worse)

Try spending a weekend removing flash and moldlines with a Stanley knife, then look at your thump..

It didn't just rub though it tore so now I've got a couple of holes in my fingers which will inevitably attarct all possible viniger, salt and tomato type things for the next week and a half.

*Appears with a container of glacial acetic acid*
You called?
Maybe some leather work gloves would be useful? In the meantime, cover up the tears in your skin, and take it easy on the modeling work for a while.
I've developed calluses on my fingers from all of the Cadian shoulder pad hollowing out that I've been doing lately.
