Ideas? I was thinking OSL effects, but stuck for locations/ patterns/ speed of painting (not LEDS too much hassle!!)  Any thoughts and input greatly appreciated ;D |

if you mean 'glow in the dark' then there are lots of different kinds of paint avaliable and also powder additive to mix into acrylic paint or varnish etc...

Glow in the dark paint may be a win  I was thinking more about where on the creatures should glow, patterns on carapace, or squidgy bits, or something else entirely? like anglerfish lures? or glowing internals? not eyes though, thats cheesy.... What do you guys think would look cool? |

.... 'Avatar' style glowy dots luminescence Thats what I was going to say... I think general OSL techniques would work best, as you'll have to lok at them either in the dark or under UV for some of that funky paint to work Why not find some cool animal paterns and try it like that? I'm pretty certain that a google search would bring up some good stuff. |

I googled until google cried, apparently Bioluminescence is rare in vertebrates, so finding images for translation to roughly 'nid shape has been a royal pain! But GIMP to the rescue! See what you think of these ideas, it's the location of the glowy bits I'm struggling with more than anything Glowy gribbly bits  Glowy 'soft' bits  Glowy carapace  Or something else entirely?  |

i think the third pic looks like the best locations... ... also i was thinking of the teeth... imagine that at night and being attacked by aliens with glowy teeth...

Glowy Carapace definitely, but I'd stick with just down along the back. I'd like to give this a go now!
