As buildings are so big, and GW are cheapskates (I know I'm using the word wrong), do you use Citidel Paint to paint buildings and terrain? It seems a bit of a waste to me.

I did just because it was the only paints I had and didn't feel like running out and buying more. Buildings have enough texture on them that you really only need to dry brush them to get a good weathered looking effect. But any old modelling paint will do honestly. They always recommend using Citadel paints to drag more money out of your wallet, but in reality it's not necessarily true.
I use Citadel paints for my minis and vehicles, and when I have them I use normal acrylic craft paints for anything else like terrain or buildings. I can try and post some pictures of my buildings for you if you would like?
Regardless I hope this helps you out!

So far I'm using the citidal paints because I know that they match what I've already painted on my models and I'm lazy like that.

As above, for the same reasons. The amount of paint that is needed isn't much, and I like the fact that my infantry dissapear when amongst the ruins Are you thinking about starting some terrain projects Dadcro?

It also depends if you're painting a whole city worth of Buildings...or just one or two?

I want to make an urban cityscape eventually, so that my guard would fit in nicely. I think that I'd use black textured spray paint for the board, because basing it the same way I did my guard would be a pain. And then I'd build the buildings out of plasticard to make them look nicer that my crap buildings of cardboard.

As you might know, I recently did some terrain. It's in my picture thread.

Use normal house paints.
Little tester pots of emulsion cost under £1 and can be diluted with water.
