Hello everyone, I didn't really know the best place to put this, I felt the Terrain section would be best for the moment. Maybe we could start a 'Review' section for stuff such as this? Anyway, I ordered the new 'Middenland tufts' a few days ago and they arrived about 15 minutes ago so I thought I'd provide an overview of what they're like in case someone was thinking of getting some. www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat470007a&prodId=prod1390050a1) Delivery I ordered the tufts the middle of last week along with a can of spray paint, and surprisingly they arrived by UPS. Normally it's Royal Mail unless you specify, which I didn't......so why it was UPS I'm not sure but as usual the service was good. 2) What's inside? You get a small box containing a clear plastic sheet folded in half. The tufts range from tiny to large. One or two had come loose during transport but I can accept that. 3) Use You simply peel them off the backing plastic and stick them wherever you want, simple. The website says that you should attach them with PVA glue, however they have a slight sticky coat on the bottom from where they were attached to the plastic, and with a slight push can be stuck to the bases using just that, no glue needed. And here are some pictures..... I hope this helps someone Cosmic

I'm currently working out how I want to base my up and coming force, and this, combined with a rough wasteland-esque grey base would be perfect. I didn't even realise they did this stuff. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! Nothus

I've used the ones from Army Painter a lot, however the sizing is pretty random and the 'tufts' need to be cut a lot. Not to mention posting is a bit of a kicker.....
I like how these come in 'graded' sizes, and I may very well get these in future rather than buying several packs from Army Painter to justify the postage.
Cheers!

I just use twine and some superglue. Add a large dollop of superglue, cut your twine to the size you need, stick to the glue. The glue is soaked up the twine and makes it stiff when dried. For the most part, it will stay on your model, but does occasionally come off.

I've seen some really nice 'shaved' sprue - I think someone posted it in the pictures thread somewhere.
Also keep an eye on the stuff for fish tanks... not fine detailed enough for grass, but fantastic stuff for bushes and cactus's. I saw a mat of about 12" by 12" for £8, which could be cut into much smaller sections and make very good jungle fauna.
- Cosmic - Thanks for posting the review, its really handy to knwo whats in the box.. I may get some now!
