Ok not to do with the site, but I was wondering if any of you are into computers to help my predicament. I have a dell inspiron 530s and it just shuts down for no reason. When I try to restart it it gets to the bios screen, then turns off again. If I try to turn it on again I just get a noisy fan and a yellow power light, as opposed to a blue one. It did this yesterday and I managed to start it this morning went to start a diagnostic and it crashed Again. Any help appreciated, even links to a tech help site az my iOS won't let me search for other sites, only the sites I have on favourites.
Thanks

faulty RAM is the most common cause of this type of problem, i'd start there. the next step would be the hard drive

Also check that your motherboard isn't fried. If there's a problem in just one spot, it could fry little (yet important) parts. If you can't even stay on BIOS, I'd say that you should swap the HD to a different computer and check it in safe mode.
Also, it's good that you have the IGMB on favorites.

Check the motherboard for burst caps. Disconncet each RAM stick one by one and attempt to start your computer between each try. Disconnect and reconnect the power supply. Reverse any recent hardware changes. Try connecting a diffirent hard drive.
Throw the piece of junk out the nearest window and buy yourself a new computer.

Could be a faulty PSU?

Thanks for all the advice guys, I checked it thoughly, and as luck would have it, my uncle popped in to say hello and he's a computer technician (a very good one at that). It turns out it's an problem in both the Psu (good one hooker) and a random capacitor on the mother board. I'm now going to chuck this pc out and get a new one, as it's going to cost around £75 to fix. Oh well, at least I've got my iPod.

It's such a minor component most people forget to check if everything is ok with it. Glad to be of help anyway.

Yay, I've just won a new computer off eBay, exactly the same model, £25, and it's got an hd screen with it, and additional 2gigs of ram.

Actually I upload them from the USB port, duh. Also I put my graphics card in, and then I did some hardcore vassal gaming, what better way to use the high definition screen.
