I have a load of assembled, unpainted Cadians that I'd like to give more interesting heads. Are there any methods for removing them or is poly cement pretty much a permanent weld? I don't mind if the Cadian heads are trashed in the process.

Grab them with a pair of plastic cutters under the ears, hold onto the torso, twist. Stop if you start to feel anything else give before the neck does.

I've had this problem a lot when I remodel some of my older figures. Honestly, theres really nothing (at least that I'm aware of) that you can do when it comes to getting it off smoothly. The best thing that i've found is taking pliers and ripping the head off, then taking an exacto-knife and scraping off the rest of it. Good luck!

I actually thought you were going to display some bloody heads of dead guardsmen when you wrote this thread and i thought that's what we'd be seeing as sights from what the enemy did to our soldiers. Would make a pretty interesting piece of scenery though a bit disturbing. It was also possible they'd get guillotined for cowardice or dereliction of duty (or similar doings).

Well, now I know how to get them off and what to do with them afterwards too! :-D Thanks!

I use thin round plyer and gently squeeze until they pop like kittens in a microwave oven.
Usually there is just a little plastic left in the neck. To get rid of it I take a drill of the correct size with my fingers and "drill" the residues out.

I use thin round plyer and gently squeeze until they pop like kittens in a microwave oven. That's an awful analogy! Everyone knows kittens don't melt i microwave ovens, they sizzle. But yeah, just tear/twist the heads of with some plyers. I would try just breaking them off by hand first. Less damage to the heads that way if you decide you want to to do something with them later. Like a huge pile. Looks nice for spring.
