As you may have seen in my earlier thread, I'm looking at doing head-replacements on all my guys. But I'm having a little trouble choosing.
We all know the Kolony Militia guys look awesome, and I certainly agree. However they have a very WWII German look to them, and I was hoping to steer more towards a British look, or at least "good-aligned" in the generic scifi sense (they're not actually going to be traitor guard.)
I've seen the west wind british helmets with gas masks but they don't look that great. Anyone seen any others?

Perfect! Any idea how they work out scale-wise? Pricey for a full army, but a couple of sets will definitely do the trick for vets or stormies.

They do - much higher quality than the West Wind equivalents. But then that's £3 for 5 rather than £3.50 for 20  |

if you get any let me know. i have some of the westwind minitures and although the casting isnt the greatest it wouldnt take much to clean them up

Actually my main worry is just the proportion of the helmet on a Cadian - think it may just look like a morris dancer's straw hat painted green, the way the brim sits. I might as well pick up a pack and see though, for so cheap.

i can stick a helmet on one of the ones i have to see how it looks if you like
edit: i just had a look and aside from the cadian helmets not being completely hollow they should fit on ok. obviously you'll either need to hollow the helmet or chop part of the head off

I was meaning in terms of sticking the whole west wind head on a cadian body - just the way it might look with the rest of the proportions, the shoulders etc. If I get a pack of 20 mixed in with about 40 others, I'm sure I'll get away with it. Should make the overall effect "random helmets with gasmasks" rather than "german helmets with gasmasks."

I have a bunch of the WwP french helmets with gasmasks if you would be interested. I have no use for them any more.
