im looking to apply a wash to my drop trooper infantry to make them look like they've been slogging it from the LZ and im looking for recommendations on washes inks or any other tips.

Washes won't really do it. What sort of style are your bases? Depending on the colour, a simple and light drybrush will suffice. But if you want a better result than it all depends on your bases. I use simple Artists pastels, simply shave off some dust and dab it on, works a treat.

Weathering powders can also be used, although they are quite a bit more expensive  |
