Hi all, I recently picked up a small number of metal Cadians. I dont want to go witt he green route, I have scouts already. I was thinking grey (think Starship Troopers), but I think it will be boring to paint after a while. S I settled on blue. IIRC they wore blue fatigues in World War Z (the book), and perhaps we will see those on screen too... who knows. Blue it is! on a non-undercoatd, metal mini. Next one will probably get a CBlack undercoat, if only to make sure the paint sticks better. And the blue might have been a tad darker, I can always 'highlight' it up. Here he is: He's not as shiny IRL, the colour is Mordian Blue with a devlan mud wash. I will probably go for a darker blue over a black undercoat (perhaps an ink or a diluted dark blue), then a drybrush/highlight with Mordian, and a bit lighter colour on the pants. Perhaps a greyish highlight. Colours used: mordian blue black grey (Vallejo Model Colour) other details: dark sea green and/or german fieldgrey WWII (both VMC), skygrey (VMC)for the white (once before and once after the wash). skin: dwarf flesh with an elf flesh highlight. Need to find better/new fleshpaints, mine are all dried and 'thick'. Comments? Willt his look good/decent if applied to 50+ or something guardsmen? The base will be done something to that colour, being US tan earth (once again a VMC). Enjoy!

Glad to see my all time favourite cadian mini again. Bayonet dude always does it for me That's why i have two C&C : First off i wanna say i like the colour scheme. Not knowing world war Z i can't say anything about it but i like the colours as a whole. I would definetely drybrush some grey on the edges of the black parts though. As is it seems like they are just undercoated. Maybe paint the tip of the knife's scabbard silver and the pouches brown. It will bring some variation to the model.

World War Z was an awesome book! ;D +1 for your reading tastes! You should get on it petercooman123, well worth it I think that your mini looks great on its own, and wouldn't be too much hassle to repeat a few hundred times either. Well done

The model does need some highlights, next incarnation of this one (I have 5 of these I think) will probably be better undercoated (black or black-grey) and have some stronger highlights. I am planning to do a tad more highlighting on the armour, and, perhaps, give those pouches a (more) brownish colour, possibly matching the base somewhat. Should be doable, a few minis per evening. As long as I have all the paints ready and the shceme figured out... This one took a tad longer (maybe 1.5 hours I beleive). Didi manage to 'undercoat' another one with blue though, and gave a lizardman a basecolour and a wash. But the sculpts are indeed nice. Good detail (well, enough anyway), decent pose. These will be a joy to paint! I hope/think!

I always liked the metal Cadians shoulder pads more than the bulky ones they have now. Overall this figure turned out extremely well!

If i do read something, i prefer my dutch language as it goes faster for me. Oh, but this is an 'easy' English book. If you can read 'internet' you can read this . And, you can also read this one step-by-step: it's easy to put away (small 'chapters') and read on the next time you have the time. Although you might not want that... It's good. 't proberen waard! Cheers, M.

An excellent job all round sir! The scheme looks great as it is, and IMO will look even better across an entire army. Well done!
Perhaps I should purchase the 'World War Z' book.

Great looking model, good luck with your army. Although, as a Netherlander, you are my mortal enemy, I long to see the fields of tulips scorched black with napalm.
