I'M BACK!! And so is the shelf! Some of you may remember there was a little bit about this in my Warhound thread. Well it was never completed, however, it is really nice outside today so I ventured into the garden and got back to work!.... I've been finishing up the Bastion end of the shelf, just waiting for the sand to dry and then I can get painting. You may have really only seen this end.... Well now it's this end that's getting some love.. I've decided to change the scheme though. Instead of the red that it currently is, I'm going to re-paint the whole thing to match my Guardsmen bases with the snow. I think it looks much more realistic and will hopefully tie the whole army in together when they're on display in my room. I have had some assistance whilst out in the garden today too... Until next time, Cosmic

I think that cat would look really good if you converted it to have an inferno cannon for it's right arm, while it's 6 claws are good, an inferno cannon would be a better choice in TT. But they are your pets, so if you want to keep the fluffy it's up to you.

Good point, Hookah. I was wondering if you ever finished this shelf! Good to see it's still up and running!

I might have to make a cupboard for my warhound to fit in with the theme of display furniture/DIY projects.....

Looking good, and enjoying the sun. Will be good to see it with snow. (Even tough just the thought of snow makes me shutter.)

It is indeed painting time soon! You must show us! Only after you finish the bloody Warhound first! Yeah it was nice out today. Hopefully it'll look quite real, only time will tell!

Inspiring, this is a great idea that I may have to snag so that I can actually display some of my figures... Now to convince the wife that I can display my 'toy soldiers'... She does not think they will go with the decor of unicorns EVERYWHERE.

Thank you very much Trooper Haha now I just want to play Dawn of War!! Hopefully the shelf will be completed later this week when I get some more Kommando Khaki, not sure my mum will understand when I rummage in the kitchen cupboards for the bottle of rock-salt to make more snow with though!

Painting has continued!! I bought 4 pots of Kommando Khaki to finish the whole shelf off, but when I picked them up they were the old stay-open lid type pots, and I think I'm only going to need 1!

Cosmic it looks good. But I think you could have done better. The two pictures show this. The first picture is the old part with sand. The second picture is the new. But wait the second have brush marks.. Why? The first picture looks so awesome! And then the second part kind of ruin it. I hope I do not come out too hard, but I think it is sad that the other half of the board is not as awesome as the first part.

Hi Gerner, Don't you worry your little cotton socks off they're not brush strokes, it's part of the board. It's filler to represent a worn, rocky path It looks much more effective in real life, I'll try and get some better pictures to show you tomorrow krieg: Thank you very much and yes I am. I swear by it now. And thank you very much 3ff3ct, Peter and Trooper really pleased you all like it.

And thank you very much 3ff3ct, Peter and Trooper really pleased you all like it. No, we LOVE it Unfortunately I have too many books intersperced (sp?) between models (and acting as structural support) to do anything like this....
