New to IG sprue and could do with some modelling help (it's a bit of a newbie question, mind). Games Workshop Image LinkBottom left, just in a bit, are some 'breathers'? have I got those right, is that what they are? and if so what is the 'correct' way of modelling them? they kind of naturally sat attached to the breast plate with the breather just about near the face but it means your squad's faces are all going to be pointing in the direction of the chest which makes for some boring models.... Am I getting it right?

You are %100 correct. Most people cut off the cord and chest thing, and just glue the actual breather on. They look pretty cool, though you only get 5 for the CCS, and none on and Infantry squad.

I'll be using the breathers for some of my plasma vets (when I build them) to represent carapace armour. I'm also one of the "most people" since I'll probably end up cutting the actual masks from the rest of the thing. It's the best way to get a dynamic pose.

If it helps I have just been building my first Dev Dog and on the sprue there is a Peaked cap head with a respirator on it too.
