I think he used forgeworld's cyclops demolition vehicle for the skitarii.
I am curious as to what heads he used for the melta gunner and heavy weapons team.
Really great paint job, and I love the fat sergeant ;D

They look very nice and clean, and are a great mix of models. I do feel however that the pictures don't really do them much justice. I LOVE the Skitarii! THEY ARE AMAZING! What bits did you use for them? I'd like to have a go at one. Are they Epic land raiders, with the chainsaw from the sentinel, space marine torso and weapons? Not sure how you attatched the guns though.... And the fact that they have hazard stripes makes me like them even more

Those are all really nice. I've used scout shotguns before and struggled to get arms/hands to match up properly, but you've managed it really well - and the painting is first class.

I am curious as to what heads he used for the melta gunner and heavy weapons team. They are the old metal Cadian's.

Right, about 70 % of soldiers are from the old cadian range. Skitariis are made of epic land raiders, space marines heads and torsos and various bits like sentinel chainsaw, vehicule ml, heavy stubbers etc. If you are interested I will do more photos of them.

Ooooh, nice! I love the shading on the yellow parts of the hazard stripes. Inspired conversion!

New command structure for my assault platoon that definitly needed power axes. So here are 3 sergeants and a commissar.

A bit off topic but what undercoat are you using? Brand i mean... Looks really nice and smooth.

I use GW undercoat. Use it about 30 - 40 cm away from the mini and with some control you can easily get this result.

I was hoping you wouldnt say GW, their black uc is amazing but so expensive. The alternatives people say are just as good...arent.

Better, more specialised stats. I prefer power swords tbh but with the new arsenal : Power spears, maces, axes, etc... I was expecting some Guard players to undergo the transition

What do you mean, new arsenal? Are those new weapons in 6th edition main rules or just your preferred alternative listed as a power weapon?
Edit: Oh, you must mean actual new bits...where'd you get them? Or did I miss that? I probably did. Don't hurt me!

Ivory got it. Due to 6th edition, power weapons are different how they are modeled. So power axes seem to be the most competitive choice and I will engage my force in a tournament soon (but this should be discussed in the tactica area).

And now they were painted. Only simple table top due to an approaching deadline (aka tournament) and I still need to finish to paint a vendetta and a Leman Russ.

I'm not a fan of the uber tall skinny bloke, however, they are VERY nicely painted. And that converted axe is amazing! Tutorial possible?
