Back when I worked in Games Workshop FW were talking about making a 'Pegisis' and we as staff got rather existed, but it never got off the ground (which A flyer needs to do) and nothing came about. So I was talking to a friend who commissioned me to make him one and I did a set of rules also:
The Pegasus is a large transporting ship used primarily for taking Platton sized troop bodies from orbiting ships down to the planet below. It is usually armed with two to four pairs of Lascannons to fend of possible air to air attacks and also often has an arsenal of heavy bolters to give dismounting troops covering fire. Finaly it caries a pair of hellfury missiles, often used to blanket areas of trees to leave a landing spot or to thin the enemy forces before landing it's men.

Structure Points : 3
Type: Super Heavy Flyer
Accsess points: 1 Rear door and 6 side doors.
Firing points: None
Weapons: 1x TL Hull Multi Lasers, 2x TL wing mounted Lascannons, 1 Turret mounted TL Hev Bolter, 2x Under mounted Helsrike missiles.
Transport : Command Floor: 10 Models. Main Floor: 36 Models. Lower Floor: 20 models
Opthions: Hull may be replaced with TL Lascannons +20Pts, Wing may be replaced with 4x Rocket pods +15pts, Turret may be replaced with TL Lascannons +25pts, 4x addithional Door mounted Hevy bolters + 20pts, Rear TL heavy bolters + 15pts, additional nose mounted Heavy Stubber +10pts
Variants: If no opthions have been chosen, the Pegasus may be upgraded to one of the following-
Pegasus Tank transporter : +0 PTs
The Pegasus has the ability to drop the two transport boxes that make up it's lower flore. The two arms that hold the transport boxes can then be used to carrie tanks to the field.
Lose ground floor transporting space but may transport upto two standard size tanks .
May replace Hull with TL Lascannons +20Pts, Wing to be replaced with 4x Rocket pods +15pts, Turret to be replaced with TL Lascannons +25pts, 4x addithional Door mounted Hevy bolters + 20pts, additional nose monted heavy Stubber +10pts
Spooky gunship: + 175pts
The Spooky variant was origanly a none Adeptus Macanicus sanscthiond add hoc variant but as it became a reliable, fast moving long distance gun platform it was adopted. Although it loses most of it's transport it often hold a elite Recon team that may be stopes to act as spotters.
Swap Turret heavy Bolter for earthshaker and all grond and main flore transport but gain 3 Earthshakers. Hull may be replaced with TL Lascannons +20Pts, Wing may be replaced with 4x Rocket pods +15pts.
Black Pegasus: + 125pts
The Black Pegasus was born from the tyranid wars. To establish a safe landing zone amongst teaming hordes of aliens more anti infantry fire power was needed, a new but rear ship was made. Now even when not fighting the Tyranid hord the rear and always painted black ship is often used for comand staff transport and that of elite platoon size troops such as inquisitor storm trooper forces.
The Black Pegasus swaps both it's wing mounts and its turret for a 3 twin linked punisher cannon. It also has 4 single door mont punishers however it loses the space for 6 models on the main deck. It may also Lose the ground floor transporting space to transport up to two standard size tanks . Hull may be replaced with TL Lascannons +20Pts, may takr an additional nose mounted Heavy Stubber +10pts
