With the figures you've gone for I'd go with a trench style paint scheme.

Danger close is by defintion to o close. That said, I think a simple grey scheme would look good. Lighter grey uniforms with darker grey helmets and armour. Suits ze germanz juzt fine. Not sure about the actual minis though. I think they will look rather small compared to the heroic scale of WH40K. I'm guessing this is a money thing though? Since they're cheaper than GW. If so I recommend eBay or online stores, they usually have much better prices than retailers. Good luck!

If you like realism, you could figure out what the terrain you'll play on will look like and work from that?

Imperial Guard armies often adapt there uniform to their surroundings, The last ed dex was a good example of this as it showed Regiments in alternate Uniforms, which there were some nice ones in there. If you can see that page online or something it may help you..... I'll see if I can find it anywere for you Dave

Guard always look the best with an urban scheme. Although it has been done a million times already. My guard are urban, Dadcro's are urban.... OK so thats only two I can think of... I think either woodland or alpine, I've only seen 2 or 3 of those schemes ever, and they looked awesome!

What colour are the tables in your area - I would paint them to match those.
Otherwise I would do a Mix of green and grey camo so they'll fit blend in to either woods or cities.

What I'm more interested in at the moment is that in your first post, you said you were 12/13 .......but now all of a sudden you've aged to 17?
