Need Input on Planning a Conversion

Hello again Folks.... Really starting to get into planning this Catachan army now I want to use Stormtrooper, but I really dislike the models as they look ridiculous in with Catachans. But I have had an improvise. Once again Trooper is a great inspiration.... Along with an 80's Metal band.

Anyhow, here's a little bit of something I whipped up for them:

'The Cowboys from Hell'

A long standing Independant special forces Regiment for the Death World of Catachan. They are equipped in the same fashion as Stormtroopers, But don a distinctive Cowboy hat as regimental dress wear, But add un official things such as Trophies to their war gear.

So here is were I ask for your Input.....

I need Idea's on how to pull this one off. I'm going to have to do some Conversion work obviously. But does anyone know of any 28mm Cowboy Heads from 3rd party companies or anything?

Blackcatbases.com do a cowboy hat. Can't link to it at the min though as I'm on the playbook.

Dixon-minis.com do a full western range, not sure about separate heads though.

Don't know, i'm at work and just did a quick search. What about the acw minis from perry twins? they are plastic and affordable

Just taken a look around your suggestions and found some others too.... FGound some plastic ones that more.... Gurkah-esque but they are in essence what I am looking for. I'll keep you all posted as time passes

I'd say maini. Also go for max mini armour torso for the carapace look but keep the cat as and legs, then get a chunky looking lasgun and away you go!

If you think those monstrous ham hands are true 28mm then you need your eyes tested
