I was thiking of making camo netting for my basilisk, BUT i want to also have the netting erected on poles so it looks like the artillery emplacements they have on the battle field any ideas or links on the project would be muchly apreceated

I've seen some people use medical gauze for netting. The hard part will the actual structure, because unless you base the whole thing, there will be nothing to attach the poles too. You could build the stucture around the footplate of the the Basilisk, but that wouldn't be an actual emplacement.
You could build a flat base, model the emplacement in a way so you could carefully slide the Basilisk in when setting the game up?

Try google imaging the AS90 self propelled gun... That is the artillery tank that the Brit army uses and I am sure you will find images of it camoflaged up. Then just try to replicate the images with a bassy and a base for it!

Yoink! Gauze can be the way to go. My Earthshaker slides out so it can be emplaced. I just took the sprue that held the bay floor/mount for the cannon and elevated it with balsa, then wrapped it in gauze that I soaked with thinned white glue, then primed. And yes, based figures fit behind the cannon.

Yeti! *Squees* Yeah, gauze painted with watered down white glue is the way to go for all of your camo netting needs.
