I m looking to make my chimera vets look different than the rest of my roman themed army. So far I ve just used Cadian s for my regular foot platoons but was wondering if using Roman heads on Cadian bodies would look cool for vets? If anyone has tried this or knows good Roman models I de really appriciate it .

I think so, I asked the same thing a few months back. Warlord Games not only do a plastic roman box set but also separate heads... Will they fit...? Can't help you but they look right.

Ahh thank you very much! Ill get a pack of them and check it out, now i ll just have to work on cutting down those vehicle melta s for infantry weapons. Then Veteran s Away!

I used that idea, but I find that the vehicle meltas look huge, but I did a bit of GS work to make it look archaic.

Ah i was going to try green stuff but i think you re right about them looking way too big what if i cut them in half tho? I really hate the idea of giving GW more money and not even getting new models but if this fails i may have to break down and do it |

Well if it's the barrel your after just get a peace of tube plasticard, the cover from a paint brush nib or the empty inner from a pen. Either way you have the end of a Melta gun if you just drill some hole in it.
For any piping get some guitar wire. I just noted on another thread how good this stuff is for modelling. Is flexible, different thickness, easy to cut, easy to bend and when painted looks just like corrugated piping.

Ah gottcha, that d probably be alot eaiser to end up doing. I ve got several acceptable looking melta s for now tho atleast enough for my new vets when i get around to converting them.
