Just got some "battlefields: grass green" today. On contact with superglue, it turns dark brown :/

Use PVA glue instead. That's what I do for all of my basing needs. That's said, I have no experience with this kind of flock.

Super glue melts the flock. Elmer's Wood glue works great.

Don't use superglue for anything besides metal and resin.

Well, every other guide I've read says to use superglue, and I use superglue for everything else on the bases - ballast, grass, other flock. I find it works much, much better than PVA for everything else, so I guess I'll just look for a different brand in that colour!

I'd like to see these guides because I have NEVER seen anyone recommend superglue for bases other than sticking on debris. PVA is the universal glue for sticking sand on bases, and for good reason.

I can't remember where, I've read a lot over the years, but having used both myself in the past I would highly recommend superglue over PVA for everything other than this one brand of flock! It's quicker, easier, holds better, and this is the first time it's caused a problem. Some people have said flock/grass/foliage comes out level with PVA vs. clumpy with superglue, although I've found different types of CA and careful application leaves you able to get either result whenever desirable. All said though, it's kind of growing on me. Ends up looking like wet mud with rotting leaves etc in and a few sprinkles of green on top, so despite the initial surprise I'm going to keep using it for that purpose P.S. It's flock, ie fine green "grass" stuff, not sand.

Hmmm...I have to side with the others, badgersplatter. I've rarely used anything but white glue/PVA and found it great. In fact, when I used superglue, the flock came off at a later date in a perfectly round base-sized circle.
