Hi guys I'm trying to do a somewhat decent representation of British Desert DPM, as per picture here on Google. I will add a picture of my first attempt on a Sniper first of all, and would like some tips on how to get it looking more realistic please before I commit it to my other snipers and camo cloak wearing marines (my standard troops are desert drab, as it were). Reason I started the thread without the model pic was hoping someone might have some first tips etc. and some experience to share... should have model pic up tomorrow. Cheers all!

just paint a thin layer of graveyard earth as the darker pattern over a base of (50/50) desert yellow / commando khaki... at a guess..
i know for a fact that desert dpm is only made of two colours....
looking forward to seeing the camo that you have done.
