Guess this is my first post. (Didn't see any intro threads, tho if there is one, please let me know so I don't break ettiquette here. ) I have a load of old RT Guard from when I was a young lad. I still have the arms for them, but they are pretty bloody awful. Cadian arms seem to work okay for Sergeants and higher ranks, but regular troopers have shoulder armour that get in the way. Can anyone suggest good alternative arms I can swap out? I'm also really happy to use non-GW - I don't play tournaments, so an "all GW" force doesn't have to apply. Cheers in advance, - Dai

ok il figure this one out... use the cadian arms... they do fit the old bodies if you remove the shoulderpad and add a flat cut to the top of the arm... the arms should line up ok to the guns hand, if one doesnt then slice into the offending arm (not off) and bend it to be the correct angle to line up... then gs the gap... im sure i got one or two of these guys in storage somewhere... if i remember rightly, i used catachan arms on then.... but im sure cadian arms would look alot better.

Ar we talking metal or plastic RT figs?
Both can take the Cadian arms, even with the shoulder pads, with a little knife/file work, but, obviously, the metal ones are a little more difficult!
I have a complete army of these guys converted in this way, as well as another made with the original arms, with that awful pack/pocket removed, and Cadian/Catachan laserguns and special/ heavy weapons fitted.
A little chopping is required, but they come out fine if your careful
