Just got done looking a the legs..and that's swift kick in the nuts! Oh well. I know that all too well. I have an army that I have been working on for far too long and have re-started and re-built a few times along the way upon the discovery of a new bit that fits what I wanted better all along.

Wow. I'm really loving this army. Thanks so much for introducing me to those miniatures sites. I can't wait to see you paint this army, I can imagine it is going to look sweet. The Valk conversion is looking really good too. I'm really impressed by your planning and your use of different miniature's lines, the finished product should end up as a really unique and captivating army. I am definitely bookmarking this endeavour Purple Dice

As promised...Sgt Hudson Not sure as to the color selection...first time using washes as well. It felt good to paint my first model in ten years..wow this game nevr leaves the blood does it, LOL. Comment and questions are welcome..so what do you think? Its long along time so be easy!LOL! Tried some new things as well..like highlighting the armor in places with bolt melt to give it that wear and tear look.

Looks good! Especially for your first model in ten years. The battle damage on his chest plate looks really good.
Are you intending to have the aquilla on the berret or not? If so it might be worth picking it out in grey or white. If not maybe you could file it off.
I do however have some bad news, I don't know what to say. Theres, theres....... Mould lines!
Apart from that good stuff and looking forward to more!

Yeah he was really just a test run..so the aquilla will come off as this is a merc force. The mold lines as well will be on the hit list.

The colours work for me. Again, I'm also a fan of the weathering on the armour. It adds a whole lot of realism. My only problem would be that the beret looks a bit flat, although that's nothing a wash and a highlight on the finished thing wouldn't sort out

The old plastic Storm Troopers would look great with your army.

The only crappy thing about the old plastic stormies is that you only have one basic pose. You could still include a couople of them just for kicks though, that's what I'll do.
Also, if you have the bits you can always build one with the backpack from one of the old plastic stormtroopers, Catachan legs, the head with the beret from the command sprue and either one of the torsos you already use for your BBs or a Cadian one.

By the way... I have a completely assembled Baneblade that a good friend gave me...not sure as to what to do with it? Send it to me? Jokes aside. The Baneblade is probably one of the Imperium's most common vehicles, due to the fact every player has one. They don't always fit in in every regiment though. Either you make some fluff up why your regiment has one or you can paint it up differently and just say that it has been attached to your regiment due to some kind of clerical error. My fluff is that my regiment found theirs when they re-conquered their solar system after they had been brought back into the Imperium. The tech-priests fixed it and now it's one of their most prized posessions.
