Are Vehicles Squadron worth taking in this edtion?
I was to run 3x 3 Basilisk's to leave small craters in the table.

Yes they are!
Im running a LR Demolisher Squadron and two manticores. I then use creed to outflank using the Demolishers, and unleash as much damage as possible. Both LR are pritty basic with HF on the front to really move inf out of the way. No sponsons, keep them as cheap as possible.

Vehicle squadrons received a significant boost in this edition. Being able to split models off into their own units instead of being auto-destroyed is a refreshing addition. Stunned results are a bit more annoying, as one Stunned can halt the entire squadron pretty much. If it is a squadron of non-Flyers, Extra Armor would be a good investment to keep that from happening. Multiple Barrages I think are also pretty nice, mainly from the ability to 'snipe' with a torrent of simultaneous fire. Being able to target specific models on a hit makes artillery very nasty.

... Being able to split models off into their own units instead of being auto-destroyed is a refreshing addition... I thought squadrons of vehicles had to maintain coherency and engage the same targets?

Deathkorpsman is talking about when one vehicle in a squadron gets immobilized, it used to be the vehicle would be destroyed, now if a vehicle gets immobilized in a squadron he becomes his own separate unit.

Ah, so the other vehicle would function as normal, up to and including driving away from the immobilized vehicle, which would break unit coherency?

If a member of the squadron gets Immobilized, the rest of the squadron can choose to leave it behind. If they do this, the immobilized vehicle is a single unit for the rest of the game and no longer part of the squadron. So no need to worry about coherency.

But does it then count as a seperate killpoint?

But does it then count as a seperate killpoint? As far as I can tell, yes. Shouldn't come up too often for Artillery, tho. Well, it shouldn't come up terribly often for anything, since Vehicles tend to die long before they suffer much in the way of Damage Results in 6th, but even less so for Arty, which doesn't tend to move much.
