Just playing around with a few lists and want some advice
Thinking of running/playing either two Hellhounds or a two flyers (Valk/Vend)
I love the Hellhound, but the idea of two flyers running around causing hell is really appealing.
Flyers being "hard to hit" is another bonus, plus there extra armour.....
Hmm, advice please?

Depends.. What is the rest of your lists.. Do you lack anti tank.. Bring vendettas.. Do you have plenty of anti tank, but need some hard hitting anti infantry.. The hellhounds are your thing.. Personally i like Vendettas more.. But i am a terrible person..

Well this current list revolves around two squads of plasma vets and two Melta Vet squads (all wrapped in Chimeras) along with running an Executioner, Manticore... so really just looking for some fast attack options
I'm liking the idea of Fast Air providing an option to support the ground troops.... so maybe using a Valk for anti troops and Vendettas for punishing MC and Armour....
Hmmm
oh and 1500pts
Vendettas do seem very underpriced and overpowered in 6th, especially as no-one really has any proper anti-air.......yet...

Well with your current setup i would say that the Vendetta filles out both anti armor and anti flyer very well.. Since you can have heavy flamers on all your chimeras and you have the plasma templates i feel you are covered against hordes.. (But in general most Guard lists are) The manticore is dedicated anti armor and excels at it, but it is only one unit so adding a vendetta to support your long range anti armor would fit quite well..

Why choose between the two when you can take em both? Each have strenghths that could complimate the other so having them tag-team makes a impressive crushing wave.

Good idea Commisar Blur
More tanks on the table is always good for morale!
But zooming flyers FTW!!

Well blur, at this point level it is quite a bit of points to use.. But you are right according to Dangers second post he seems to have 1000 points of units (Thou lacking upgrades and a HQ, so might get closer to 1500) I still feel like with all the heavy flamers available in the list, the hellhound would be a bit redundant.. It is still a nice tank with the predecessor to the new "Salvo" rule.. The Vendetta would give you some anti flyer firepower, which at the moment is mainly needed against orks and necrons, but with the talk about a new C:CSM "dragon" and White dwarf codex updates, who knows when they will be needed..

I think the valk/Ven is the best option. They are interchangeable for the same point cost (MRPs and the Ven) plus you can use it to transport a can of whoopass (vets with SW) if needed.

I think I'd keep them seperate, either Vendettas or Hellhounds, but not both in the same list
