As you can now use a super heavy in a normal game with your opponents permision I was wondering what you guys think is the best point level to play? 2K would seem the minimum to use a super heavy such as a baneblade or any of its varients as I would want a sizable force to support my super heavy.

Would say quite a bit more points..
2000 points is a regular game in most aspects.. I'd go all the way up to 3 - 4k before calling it apoc.. On the other hand if you are talking about 2 or more players pr. side each with 2k points, that would be much better IMO..

i guess it depends on that fact that your opponent can tailor his list to deal with the superheavy or if he's bringing a balanced out list and you just ask him right before the game if he's ok with you fielding a SH. I do believe in the (now outdated-and secretly available online-if you know where to look) battlemission books there was a mission using a SH VS a standard army

But even with the battle missions it was clear to your opponent before hand what you where bringing.. But yes as hendrik says, if you and your opponent has agreed, then go for it..
