Absolutely fantastic job, Cosmic! The plasma coils look especially good--I'm glad you did them metallic rather than glowy.

Very sorry I ignored the last few posters on this thread, really didn't mean to! Thank you everyone though, however.....I revive this thread with a mixture of good and bad news I want to share with people........ I sent the finished Omega to Ivory on 31/08/2012.....well over a month ago. It went missing, something Ivory and I tried desperately to sort out. After all the effort I put into it I was really annoyed that it had disappeared. But today......this arrived.......... No paperwork or clear reason why, but it appears it reached France, they opened it and then shipped it back in pieces. This was half the amount of packaging and bubblewrap I shipped it out in. Pieces have cracked and the paint has chipped in places. Whilst this is of course extremely frustrating and angering me immensely, at least it is here. At least I've got it back and it wasn't a complete waste. As such, if Ivory is happy then I shall patch her up, fix the chipped paint and send her out again. Luckily Ivory is in the UK at the moment so it should be fine this time. Anyway, never send anything to France......never.....unless it's packaged in a bombproof padded case...... Cosmic

Drugs or other illegal stuffs. It's odd though because they ripped up the gun mount, but it looks like they didn't try to get into the actual chassis itself.

"Non Réclamé" (the box that was ticked on the sticker) means that it wasn't claimed. A shame that they ripped it all up, but understandable in a way. Also, to them, it's just another toy, however nicely painted it is. Hopefully it won't be too much of an ordeal for you to piece it up again and paint it. Good luck!

To be fair this is the first problem I've had with postal services, I'll be sure to send it a better service next time. Well after what Ludovic said it appears it just wasn't collected. Not sure why though but I'm very grateful to have it called art, thank you. It broke mine but at least she's back in my arms now! Ah thanks for clearing that up, Ludovic. Such a shame this happened, but it could have been worse I suppose. I shall patch her up, I have started already. I will have to replace one of the Blastgun pin mounts since ones snapped off and it no longer rotates. The paint isn't that badly chipped on closer inspection. Just some damage on the tracks.

Well ladies and gentlemen, she has been rebuilt!! I scratch built a locator pin for the blastgun, and unlike the one that was originally moulded into the gun, this one if made from 2 tubes of Plastic rod and fits nice and snug so should last a lifetime. I've also taken to adding some extra painty details, I thought I might as well try and improve from the first time. Pictures tomorrow though for you all once she's finished. I truly love painting these Macharius Chasis vehicles, so if you ever want one done, you know I'd gladly do it

So it got hurt a little. Rebuild it! Then it will have a story behind it too.
Does this thing have a name yet?
"Phoenix" would be appropriate.

I think 'Postal Service Lament' would be appropriate too I'd frisbee the apoc blast template at their heads for that

damn shame it got mashed up but considering your skills you should be able to make her as good as new:)
still curious what the work spot of an artist looks like...and how you scratch-build the spondons..

Thank you, Gearboxx really appreciate it. I shall try and take a picture of my work desk later if you like. The sponsons are part of the kit, I literally just had to make the 'barrels' that the bolters are attached too

You know I was thinking last night before going to sleep why this could happen. Then it occurred to me that the paints are chemicals and perhaps whatever drug/bomb sniffing dog the place uses might have given his handler the 'danger' sign.
Perhaps.

Gotta give you a hand for this Cosmic, not too many people I know who would go out of their way to make sure this was done right after it was destroyed like this. Most painters I've dealt with would have said "oh well" and then charged more to fix it back up. Cheers mate, very honorable of you to do this!
