After stalking around these forums for awhile and checking out the awesome armies people have made I have finally decided to make a project log for my guard army. Im going to start off with some fluff for my army.
OVERVIEW
The belrissian 7th regiment along with the 10th, 34th, 78th, and 121st regiments make up the units of the 7th composite armored division. This is only one of the the thousands of Imperial guard divisions permanently station on belris under the name of the Belrissian guard.
Belrissian Guard History
The Belrssian Guard was formed after a tyranid invasion by hive fleet that lasted over 3 decades, wiped out almost the entire population, and nearly destroyed the planet. The belrissians were victorious, but only through sheer will, courage, determination and the loss of of their entire PDF and countless other Imperial Guard forces sent to help. This caused the Supreme-Governer of Belris to petition for the reformation and permanant stationing of the remaining guard forces on Belris under the name of the Belrissian Guard. The Governer ordered armies specialized in one field to combine and cross-train with other armies to maximize their efectiveness. He also made scientists examine the dead tyranid specimens to find any and all weaknesses found and tell to the generals so they could train the Guard to more easily combat and ultimatly defaet the tyranids should they invade again. This produced great results even though the troops did not initailly willingly agree to abondon all of the traditions and customs of their old regiments. The Belrissian Guard is now one of the most trained Armies in the combating of tyranids. It has been 10 years since this has taken place, and all of the divisions are fully trained and fully manned and have excelled in planetwide wargames and invasion defence exercises. They may now be able to prove there worth again as their have been reports of tyranid forces closing in onBelris. May the Emperor protect....
