ok so this is my Cadian95th fluff:
History:
The cadian 95th is a merged battle force from the remnants of the Cadian 95th rifles and the JoraxII PDF after a year long defence from orks the PDF merged with the then-understrength Cadian 95th regiment. The regiment have merged fairly well, however incidents may arise every few months or so. At the tme of founding, the Jorax PDF voluntarily joined the guard of their own initiative after seeing the Cadians fight valiantly to save JoraxII from ork invasion
History:
JoraxII is an agri-world that exists in the ophidian sub-sector, it is the closest planet to cadia that isnt in its star system, it was discoverd by imperial explorer vessels in M21. The explorers found a rich, modest climate inhabited by few humans, the humans were civilised but basic relying on manual labour and farming to upkeep the various scattered communitys.
Culture:
Jorax II was ruled by king and queen until they modernized, the people there vary greatly in terms of genes, as the many different continents are varying in locale and history, there is no set Jorax stereotype. However every continent contributes forces to the PDF. Most continents teach their people to be hard working, and manual farming upkeeps mosts physical conditions. However, every year the noble classes participate in the "Afir" or the meet. It is a great feast and ball which also plays host to many political debates and agreements.
Tactica:
this combined regiment use a broad range of tacics, although there are-due to cadian implements-a high proportion of veteran units who are used to support a broad rage of roles, the regiment request specialist attachments regularly, and many armoured and airborne companys are commonly attached.
There is 1 notable strong point, however. And that is trench warfare. The people of Jorax seem to be resistant to many common problems of trench fighting(i.e disease) and are used to strict firing drills. They react well if the line is broken and will fight all the more bravely if defeat is nigh.
Notable people/battles:
The regiment was first known through the defense of its own planet from ork invasion. various farming communities took arms against the enroaching ork horde and fought bravely right up until the Departmento munitiorum could adequately respond. Even then the planet fought with the guard. The worst impacted were the Cadian 95th rifles, so they were bolstered by Joraxite volounteers.
2 months after the initial merging of the regiment, several Cadian partys rallied under a Rebel commander and held several Joraxites hostage. Through debate, these rebels were shown their wrong doing. They surrendered on an agreement of small punishment. 11 days later they were killed via "undiscovered firing squad" (primarily to ensure loyalty on both sides)
4 years after the rebellion a Lord commissar called Delar rose to fame after the previous force commander was executed. He assumed command and, to this day, leads the Cadian 95th onward to fresh victories
Roughly 2 months ago The Cadian 95th successfully defended a key desert entry point from a necron invasion, though the casualtys were high the necron advance was slowed.
