Just wondering what is the best tank to outfit with Multi-Meltas? I'm tempted by an Exterminator but the Demolisher seems a better fit given its shorter range.

Well, back in 5th (ahh the old days!) I would have said that they were never really worth it, I always preferred the Plasma Sponsons
But with the change to the Get Hot USR they are becoming more favourable
Personally I would kit them on the Demolisher for a real up close nasty tank as it compliments the range of the tank, although flamers work well on it too
Leave the Exterminator naked and use it for long range sniping at skimmers and light vehicles

Multimeltas are dedicated heavy anti tank firepower, the exterminator isn't.. Mixing roles in IG lists arn't good.. Demolisher has the same range on the main weapon, combined with S10 AP2 and ordnance it can be considered a dedicated heavy anti tank firepower.. (Anti everything basically) so synergizes better with the multi meltas.. Now the question is, is it worth it putting multi meltas on the demolisher at all..?

It is if you're chasing super-heavies.. other than that its questionable.

Multi-Meltas are only really good on things that are fast. Even on a Demolisher, which is the best fit for them of the Russes, you're probably not going to get more than one good shot per Game with them, and even that's likely to be one real shot and one Snap-Fired, outside of double-dice Range.
The only place I really like Multi-Meltas in the standard Guard Army is on DevilDogs, which are fast enough to get into Range and have a complementary primary Weapon.

And considering our camo netting didn't get changed any tank equipped with Camo gets a 6+ cover save AT LEAST even if out in the open(provided it didn't move in the prior move phase). I plan on fielding a 'Sniper Tank': Devil Dog with multi-melta, dozerblade to get deep into ruins for more cover and of course smoke launchers(for the initial cover save after the first move or so) and camo netting(for the remainder).
