I basically play against one friend who also plays Warhammer 40k and his list is an infantry rush in rhinos. Followed by heavy support, usually a heavy weapons squad and a vindicator. I've been having a pretty difficult time handling this fast and aggressive army especially with objectives. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Mr Jager, welcome!
Manticores will ruin his day, along with Basilisks and Medusa's
Demolisher, Executioner and the vanilla russ willl also open up his Rhinos and cehw thru marines
Also, you could look at a HWT loaded out with Missile Launchers or Lascannons. Use "Bring it down" orders from the CCS and you should be killing a few tanks per turn
Once his troops are out in the open or holding an objective keep hitting him with anything with a low AP.
Also remember to focus fire as much as possible, target priority! Once your biggest threat has been dealt with move on to the next.
Dont try to win the game in the first turn, generally we can field more troops and tanks versus marines so its a case of whittling him down for a late game objective win!
Good luck
Danger Rod

How many Points are you playing? That makes a difference in what tools you can fit in, and what you have to worry about.
Autocannon are actually the go-to for cracking Rhinos in 6th. The extra shot means that they'll strip Hull Points much more reliably than Lascannon will rack up Explodes results. The volume of Fire is also good for getting at Marines in Ruins or other good Cover, where AP1-3 Weapons don't make that much difference. The Leman Russ Exterminator is a pretty good Rhino Hunter at this point, especially with Pask.
Plasmaguns, Russes (Basic, Demolisher, or Executioner), and just loads of basic fire are good for finishing off the Infantry once they pile out.
The Vindicator is a bit different to deal with, because of the Front AV13. You're going to have to spread out so he exposes one side or another to your Autocannon, get some Meltaguns up there somehow, or use some heavy Artillery (Basilisk, Medusa, or Manticore) to blast it apart from outside its Range.
Vendettas are a better buy than ever before, with their increased safety in the sky and their ability to hit unexpected Armour Facings or threaten Units from different angles to get around Characters who are Tanking up front. Rarely a bad choice to take a couple of those.

I usually play around 1500 points. Some artillery does seem like a better option. I might pick up a Medusa or maybe a basilisk and well see how things go. Thanks again.

I would pretty much go with what westrider suggests. Two BTs with an excuitioneer and two d-dogs. One platoon with minium of two infantry and/or lascannon HWS/Autocannon HWS. However I would include a Valkrie with lascannon and heavybolters loaded with an anti-armor spec Vetran squad. Had those guys grav-chute don behind a dreadnaught and toasted it with a melta. Priceless.
