Hi gang. Once I finally get paid again, I am going to buy conversion bits and army kits until I fall over and have to get a job again. However, until that point, I am just fiddling around with random parts. Inspired by a short story from the first Imperial Guard omnibus, I made this guy with bits from the standard Leman Russ, the plastic Baneblade and a head from the Space Wolf Assault Squad box. Excuse the horrible quality of the pictures as I was forced to use my mobile phone, since somebody swiped my digital camera for use during their holiday. The quality is crap, but I think the point gets across.

Actually, it is going to be some high ranking officer. There's a passage in the short story that follows Rebel Winter about how the general (can't remember his name) used to be friendly rivals with the White Boar. Said general is old as hell and now moves with some sort of spider-like machine. That's what inspired me to build this guy.
And of course, there will be new pictures, 3ff3ct, once the camera comes back. I intend to have it painted by then. Not sure what the livery of my up and coming army will be, but it doesn't matter. I could always make this guy an objective marker.

I'm sure it'll look even cooler when it's got some paint on it too!

I think they are spikes from the Leman Russ dozer blade...

Good point.
That's actually great news as I have a couple of those and I was looking for inspiration to make a Mogul Kamir mechanical mount. One day, anyway.

wulfric's right, these are the dozer blades from the tank sets (not even sure if it was Leman Russ, come to think of it. Chimeras probably carry these too). I just cut them off, filed them down and, well, stuck them on. Simple as!
I'm not sure how he would actually move across the battlefield (or defend himself for that matter)...but hey, the Omnissiah works in mysterious ways, and so do his machines.
