Super heavy tank help needed

I need a bit of advice...

I am currently looking at getting the Shawdowsword and Stormlord etc. box for when I play apocalypse, I am not bothered about which variant I do but I was wondering whether you can only complete the model in one variant as I was looking to be able to switch over the guns and try to get more variants in case I feel like a change, is there any way you can do this? Or can you only have one of the tanks for good.

Any help or tips would really be appreciated,

It can be done, but you will need to magnatize a lot of the parts to switch betwwen the variants

One of my friends from my local gw has a Shadowsword, when he takes of the volcano cannon it is left with stubby little cannon which I believe is the one used on the Banehammer, I can imagine there is a lot of converting and fiddly bits involved but with magnets as you said I am sure I can do two or three variants,

The Shadowsword and similar versions are easy enough to just plug into the main gun port and swap out as you feel like, but the stormlord is a different gun mount.. and in my opinion not much of a tank for apocalypse really..

I know the bag load of shots is appealing but surely you have plenty of other units that can put out that kind of damage.. secondly - what sort of target needs to be shot so many times by S6?

As for transporting units, it's moving 6" at best, and while you can get a load of heavy weapon teams in there they'll be snap firing and makes the whole tank a big big target! (plus if the heavy teams were spread out you would get a lot more LOS to different targets).

I personally love the Shadowsword for Apoc - it has huge range, and is a nice relaxing near-guaranteed hit and penetrate / instant death to everything,.. what more could you want!

(saying that... Oneday... I am planning to make a Steel Legion Stormlord with the heavy teams all aranged behind sandbags placed on the Stormlord)

its really easy just using a few magnets to make a transformer stormlord / shadowsword / banehammer ...

my freind wants me to make a short video of the transformation for his blog tommorrow so il post a link and il make sure il remind him .

Just use a couple of magnets to hold the Stormlord and Banehammer weapons in place and the rest just slot in.
