I am putting these here as I'm not sure where it fits... I had considered putting this in tactics since we might muse on what we would do as commander.. but then, maybe, army lists would be the place as we discuss what army compositions might be good..
It'd be cool to have a sub-board devoted to scanario / narrative / campaigns though...
anyways.. here's three mission concepts I'm playing with..
(see if you can work out what movie scenes they're based on)...
Heavily Urbanised Bridge Assault (Ork Defenders, Guard Attackers)
Defenders may deploy at river edge and infiltrate across river
Attackers arrive from board edge, indirect units may fire from reserves at 6D6 scatter
Attackers must secure the 2 buildings closest to the bridge on the oppossing side.
Jungle Landing Zone (Ork Defenders, Guard Attackers)
Defender may deploy half the army anywhere, including 1 AA gun + defence line
Defender reserves arrive randomly
Attacker army composition is air transports, infantry and scout vehicles only
Attacker units arrive from reserve by selection
Attacker must secure landing zone by driving back defenders and eliminating AA gun
Fall back to da Stompa (Ork Defenders, Guard Attackers)
Defender has an immobile Stompa at far table edge
Defender reserves arrive randomly except for Big Mek who arrives turn 1
The more reserve units attempting to arrive the probability of their arrival decreases
Attacker reserves arrive one turn after Defender
Attacker reserve arrival positions are randomised
Stompa may fire 1 Weapon per turn until Big Mek reaches it at which point it is full function
Small Meks may reach Stompa and add 1 gun / action per Mek
