I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this post but I thought it was the best fit.
My next hobby project in my Armageddon theme is to model the Last Chancers that made it to the surface of the planet. This includes the female Lorii.
Does anyone know of any scifi or modern female 28mm models? The book describes her as having cropped hair and this is proving to be the tricky bit. Shadow Forge have the best selection I have seen so far but they all have pony tails or long hair.
Does anyone know of any with short/cropped hair? I would prefer no armour and basically modern fatigues. That's not too specific, right?

Thanks for all the replies guys. krexpex- Those minis are amazing. I had a look and the only problem is that they are 32mm and I think she would look a bit out of place in a squad of 28mm minis. It is a shame and would have bought one straight away if not for that. I'm currently looking through the Reaper site and may have found a winner. www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Chronoscope/latest/50210#detail/50210_w_1She doesn't look too much like a tramp, fits the bill and the weapon should be easy enough to swap for gw ones. There are a lot of minis on the reaper site though and I'm still looking. |

Wash to you council, take a ruler and make measurements of those Guardsmen which you have available, you will be surprised having seen figure, it not 28 mm
So these girls very much are suitable for conversion.

krexpex I think you are right. I've seen some comparison pics with other ranges and there is not that big a size difference. I'm going to go with Tilly Tumbleworth. You can always hand-wave away model size difference as some people being short/tall.

Yeah, I think I'm sold on this model now. She is also described in the book as a clone of Lord Solar Macharius in an attempt to create a 'super soldier' and is described as tall. That's good enough for me!

Vinni does miniatures with clothes? Good to see he's matured a little! Anyway there are two limited edition female IG figures. Both are metal and about twenty odd pounds on Ebay, but at least they can be used in tournaments if you're fussed about that sort of thing. There's a female Commissar with cleavage and a Catachan Grenadier in a tanktop. |
