Just been having a look at the great coat legs and there is something just not right about them. I think you need more detail adding as the look more like skirts at the moment.

I'm not sure, it seems too clean/smooth I think.

Well, they are heavy winter greatcoats, they're not supposed to respond to wind or movement... While I agree that the legs you linked to are nice, they are a different style of coat than what I'm presenting with the Kurgans. -Steve

Try the split up the back like the guy on the right in the pic, might make a difference.

I think the reason it looks weird is that the coat is too long, compare the model and the above image, the model you have the coat is down to the shoe, the image is down to the edge of the boot.

I agree with macknight that their coats are a bit on the long side however, i think the main reason this looks like a skirt is because of the torso used in the picture. If I wear my 15th century breastplate on top of my long foul weather coat it also looks like if i'm wearing a skirt. You couldn't by any chance post a picture of kurgan legs+kurgan torsos?

Nevermind! silly me! but see, those look way less "skirt like" and much more "so cold my urine freezes before if hits the ground"! I noticed there are also some bulletins still open. so i don't know if you're open to suggestions but how about some heavy weapon arms(gunner, mortar, missile launcher)/artillery arms(some arms holding a shell (possibly even just the arms so one can add the shell one prefers),some aiming devise etc?) or a special weapon set? this way the kurgan force can have almost every infantry option out there in the book?

Nope still look skirt like to me, it's the guy on the right that does it. Think it might be the length and that it's a flat edge.

OK, on the coat itself, I've run this past a number of people and I'm inclined to agree it is a bit long. Here's a comparison of a shorter version, which is pretty much the way I will go at this point. The "flat edge" is just the angle of the render you're looking at. As you can see above, the bottom edge is not "flat". Honestly, I hate that picture of the 4 poses but I'm limited in terms of how I can present the figures in a complete state. As for more details, this design just doesn't call for them. To Hendrick's point, these are not the kind of coats you want to have pinned back behind the legs. I'm still toying with the slit in back but I can't say for sure it will happen. On other parts for the Kurgans, what is posted on the current add-on list is all I have planned for right now, it pushes the limits of what I can do in a timely fashion. With the success I've had with these, I will continue to put out supplemental arms and such like the ones you suggest. As more regiments get released there will be continuing support for all of them with additional parts and components. I remembered a comparison shot I posted on another forum that shows how the Kurgans will scale up against another well known figure... Thanks a bunch for the feedback guys, you are really helping with the process! -Steve

Make it a little shorter and continue the buttons from the jacket down to the lower legs. I think that would be the difference for me.

You'd probably need to carry the piping (frogging?) down the bottom half as well.

Guys I apologize, that's not the right torso, that's the Imperial Torso, already available. I had thrown it in there to line up the legs and forgot to replace it with the Kurgan torso. Here's the full Kurgan torso and legs...

Looks better with that torso but I'd still say they both need buttons

The buttons are under the edge of the coat, it's common with a number of designs. I learned that because I did spend time and thought on it.
