ill keep it simple
ultramarines
model is undercoated with spray primer
I have been brushing on the macragge blue base
then painting armour panels with the new ultramarines blue.
i then do all the details, highlighting etc etc
finally i wash the model with the drakenshade blue wash/shade.
so my question do you think ill have any significant effect on the models if i miss out the macragge blue base, because im washing with a dark blue anyway?

You could cut out two steps if you used army painter blue spray primer... it's exactly the same colour as the old citadel blue primer. .ie... ultramarines blue

so realy as long as it has an under coat already (which they do) i should just paint the ultramarines blue strait on anyway. and the use the wash. hmmm ill try 1 model later and see if it comes out the same as the models i have already done.
