It's not too bad, are you worried about kids then?
It obviously causes a lot of vibration and it can be noisy. But my Dad has said he's heard louder ones.

just thought id add my experience of airbrushes. i used to use a paasche airbrush at work, when i left that company, it all went back. i brought myself a cheep airbrush and compressor, a cheep kit is very good for beginners as mainly you will learn to look after it. if it does break, and the cheep ones do, at least it was only cheap. try getting a compressor with an air tank though as at least when your skills improve, you can replace the airbrush with a better one but wont have to get another compressor. i now use a harder and steenbeck infinity cr plus. yes expensive but well worth the quality. i must stress though use a cheep one first. the one cosmic has suggested is a very good starter kit as the compressor is good has all the kit, and after a while the airbrush can be replaced with a decent one. are you aware of how best to use your paints with them. welcome to the world of airbrushing.

I have the exact one Cosmic has posted, I'm getting it for Christmas I've bought some air brush cleaner and I'm looking at getting some extra pots. My question is: what is the right amount of paint you should put into the airbrush? Mix ratio with water? Major Downer

The one thing most people will say is your paint should be the consistency of milk, Major. And depending on your air pressure you'll need about a third of the paint you're using for most job's. But it's simply you need as much as you need. I tend to stick to about a third though

i use a mix 50/50, just gw paint, never had a problem using that ratio. it goes into a small dropper bottle. with a gravity airbrush it means you dont waste paint. i also use a newish paint too, an old one will prob have dry bits in it and it will cause problems at the tip. believe me youll get frustrated with that if it gets clogged.
