Starting up a Necromunda campaign at my club after christmas. Had a poke around at some Orlocks, just a quick job so I have something to play with. I've another juve in the post, when he's here and painted I'll do all the highlighting and basing on the rest at the same time, but here's a WIP since they're "table ready" I suppose! Gangers: Juves: Heavies: Leader:

Awesome job sir, those all look amazing! The leader reminds me of a bad-ass Van Helsing for some reason, must be the hat.

Those look really good. What model did you use for the leader?

Amazing work. Why won't anyone near me play necromunda?! Shocking isn't it - best game GW ever produced in my view. I love having a 40k army but I must admit it's often a very uninspiring play. (Sacrilege!) There's a "Community Edition" rulebook out there that refines, clarifies and balances it up even better too. Try posting on Yakromunda.com for opponents? Awesome job sir, those all look amazing! The leader reminds me of a bad-ass Van Helsing for some reason, must be the hat. It's probably because it's a witch hunter Those look really good. What model did you use for the leader? Same guy as the Commissar in my IG (see other thread in my sig). Harlan Versh I think he's called, from Warmachine. He's the only model in the gang with any real conversion work, there's a simple one-hand weapon swap and a barrel chop but the rest were just a single piece of metal. It was actually really nice to do as a result, I've done so many plastic guardsmen with all sticky out bits and rather plain detailing that aren't that inspiring to paint; the lovely old perry sculpts are like an adventure with a paintbrush! My favourite is actually the heavy with the cigar, he's a Void model I think. I particularly enjoyed doing other spontaneous camo patterns on him and the two Catachans. I've done about 50 models in green, brown and black so far... I'm instantly inclined to start highlighting and picling out edges as it's the usual last step in making a model really pop out, but I'm suddenly unsure; it might ruin the dirty underhive feel if I'm not careful. Anyone else gone for a similar effect?

I only play necro, got the community edition on my phone Still making my guard converts to play as an Escher clan group of men who are allowed to fight for the eschers but arent given any funding (as men are like a subspecies to them)

Do you think anyone's ever said "you can tell a lot about a man by the fluff he writes for his miniatures" before?

Havent bought the right bits yet, just planned em and made the leader. Clearly not finished, also need to plan an emblem for the shoulderpad. Now, enough of my thread hijacking.

Blimey - going in hardcore! I'm trying the "lots of bodies" approach. IG at heart...

Nice looking gang! What mini did you use for the second heavy (the one with the cigar)? Love how well the Catachans fit in with the old school Orlocks.

Thanks! Found him at Warfare, but I'm pretty sure he's a Void Viridian. I strangely enjoyed doing non-jungle Catachans.
