I am new to these forums and so would like to start of big, or Super Heavy to be exact! So I have just won an auction for a beautiful baby Baneblade with a small group of nids for the bargain price of £19 posted to my door. The Baneblade looks to of had a chaos conversion, I will however be reclaiming it from the clutches of chaos to return to it's rightful place in the Imperial Guard!  Forgive the quality of the image it was the one from the listing. Please give any advice and suggestions of where I should start when it arrives. I was going to begin by stripping all the chaos parts and leaving the rest intact as well as trying to get hold of a Baneblade sponson kit as the sponsons on it look a little worse for wear. |

Mate your one of the few blessed with a Chaos Baneblade. That kit is exremely rare. You should convert your guardsmen to Chaos and use it as a centerpiece. You'll never convert it back without making a pigs ear out of it. Trust me. That Cannon is epic

Trust me. That Cannon is epic I'll probably remove th cannon and sell it for a new one, but hmm maybe worth posting the whole chaos bane blade for sale to see waht I could get first. |

Haha as tempting as that sounds I think I might just keep hold of it  , I just won a big for two Leman Russ Demolishers for £22 so my armour is growing fast, got hold of the odd number of 23 Cadian infantry too. I'll post pictures when the Baneblade and Russes arrive and see what you guy's recommend from there on |

(I haven't played or modelled for 3 years) now I just regret selling my IG tanks back when I left  |

Commissarowen, best do what the others recommend. That cannon is dope - its well made and looks great.
For a long time I have converted eBay specials back to something useable. There are times when you cannot salvage somethings... and there are times when they don't need salvaging. You are looking at hours of frustrating hard work that is going to produce a cannon that really does not look that good. Green stuff is tenacious and very difficult to get off.
You could spend more money and buy a new turret and cannon... but that wont help with the other patches.
Do what most guard players do ... start a second force! After all, every player needs at least one traitor guard force!

The Plaguereaper is pretty hard to get hold of mate, your lucky and from what your saying have also received leman russes and additional infantry.. Conversions and fluff is endless mate

yeah from a bit of googling and research I had also come the the conclusion that it is a plaguereaper, I will post pictures when it arrives so we really know what I've got hold of in detail. I'm not a fan of swapping armies though, not a chaos fan so most likely will be a sale of the whole tank if it is all green stuffed securely, if not I'll be purchasing new turret and sponsons and selling the chaos one! |

i saw this plaguereeper earlier on ebay! good luck with the sale  unfortuantly ive spents far too much on ebay this week to even think about bidding on this. still i did get around 180 inperial guard troops for £60 split between two lots so a may be slightly busy for a while lol |
