there are three reasons i didn't tbh
1: usually most forum software automatically resizes images so as to avoid stretching it beyond the viewer's resolution (board's fault) 2: my laptop crashed a couple days ago and i lost any and all proper image editing software in the process, and i currently don't have any discs or a stable connection to get anything else (manufacturer's fault) 3: i'm a braindamaged moron and can't figure out this stupid smartphone trash to save my life (my parents' fault)
clearly all of these reasons are beyond my ability to control and i should immediately proceed to sue the socks off God (tm) for not holding my hand at this stage of my life, or indeed any stage of my life

Ok, great job of placing blame on anyone/anything but yourself. Our future is in great hands.
That being said, there are various online resources that can do basic photo editing such as resizing. A simple search on your favored ISP will yield many options.
The miniatures themselves are quite adequate for tabletop use, however you may find more and better response for marines and marine related miniatures at a marine dedicated forum such as Bolter and Chainsword.

it was a joke, in case that wasn't obvious, i just grabbed the links off the uploader and probably snagged the wrong ones
i'll change the first one to a link in case anyone else is still running a 640 by 480 resolution on their monitor
also, "marine-dedicated forum"? might as well ship me off to the loony bin while you're at it, dealing with my no-good bum of a brother is enough, i'd rather not get stuck with the nuts who actually think marines are cool

Being a hypocrite is a good way to get on people's good side. Especially some of us that DO think that marines are cool.

Wetwork, I was merely trying to provide alternatives to your sizing issue and to direct you to a forum that may be more tailored to your interests as they are marines. There is no need to berate or be rude. Regarding jokes or sarcasm, it can be difficult to convey it appropriately via text alone and in general should be avoided. If you cannot or will not abide by a polite code of conduct, please do so elsewhere.

That's cute, do you also yell at people for not painting their Grey Knights in grey? That's the sort of vibe I get from Space Marine forums, the problem not inherently being the actual marines but the people who take the hobby seriously in the wrong way. As above, I have yet to see a Space Marine forum that isn't infested with the sort of people who don't care in the slightest about the actual work being done and get caught up in mucking about with things like why the purity seals aren't done in a specific way. I specifically posted this here because I saw some hobbyists who knew their stuff, specifically Cosmic and ironically his excellently done Imperial Fists. The 'sizing issue' is a NON-ISSUE that has no relation to the actual activity and is a minor bother for some people due to it stretching their screen - but I don't recall this being a problem on any other forums I've visited for several years as most automatically scale them down or contain the pictures within a certain template and allows you to choose between scrolling through the actual thread and posts as well as within the offending posts themselves. The only reason it was problematic is due to a variety of technical issues partly due to my laptop breaking down and not being able to restore its functionality at the moment, as well as being unfamiliar with the use of a smartphone for taking images. It was simply topped off by me, in my rush to put it up before something else caught fire, copied the wrong link from the uploader i used. In all honesty, the whole thing was kind of rushed and done on a whim with little thought put into it, and the last thing I expected was for anyone to get caught up in a picture being 'too big'. Partially it was also my own fault as my exaggerated manner of typing clearly was too distracting and derailed the whole damn thing. As we've clearly gotten off on the wrong foot, and as I have also received little commentary on what I put up, I will take my leave and make due with being told I am doing it wrong by not painting Dark Angels models in their prescribed Ultramarine Blue. Good day and good night.

However, being a fan of the Marines doesn't cause that.

I'm going to have to respectfully ask everyone in this thread to chill, and start over by focusing on Wetwork's marines.

How are you doing the yellow and black stripes? I hate painting those, I think even doing a small marine army in those would make me go crazy.

^ Hahaha!
I do them yellow first, then paint the black on over the top.

Makes sense. But keeping the line and the angle consistent across the model and the unit seems to be a hassle.

That green doesn't really look good, in my humble opinion. I suppose you'll want a comment on the marines now. The colour scheme isn't really doing it for me, but I will admit that it is a very nice job painting. Side note: Is that guy in the corner holding a bolt pistol in two hands?
