Alright, so i have settled on eventually buying a superheavy, and as i am not a money machine, i have settled with buying one of the GW offerings.
What my mind has eventually come down to is either buying a Baneblade or a Banehammer. In my mind both come with their interesting offerings but i cant tell which would benefit my army more.
Right now i have 4 Leman Russ' with differing options, 1 Basilisk/Griffon, 1 Hellhound, 1 Chimera, 6 Veteran Squads, A minimum Rough Rider squad and a Creed Company command squad.
Right now my tactics up to this point has been to heap dakka onto the opponent and use the special wargear from my vet squads to the best advantage when competing with objectives.
Most of my opponents play Orks, Space Wolves and Raven Guard Space marines, which obviously made me start looking at the Banehammer, but i dont know if i can justify what is essentially a battle cannon that will however slow down the enemy considerably.
What do you think?

buy more normal tanks, chimeras, etc! unless you frequently play apocalyps you'll get more fun out of those!

I like the baneblade simply cuz of its versatility. the main guns effective against both armour and infantry.

I think the running consensus on the forum is that the baneblade is the best all rounder. And seen as I have three, ill vote baneblade! :-p

If it is your first super heavy, build a Baneblade, you can't go wrong with it.

Or, for a bit extra, get a Baneblade kit, and then use a bits service to buy the bits you'd need to make a Banehammer, then build the hull so you can swap between the two configurations. It might be a bit fiddly, but should be possible?
