Well I'm waiting on Angron to arrive, blasted guy just dosent wanna show up at my doorstep! While I wait I've been trying to figure out how to paint him, mostly stuck on the armor, I wanna make it look like the FW figure where it's a Dulled gold bronze ish looking. Any tips?

Personally, I don't like sending models for people to paint, nothing against cosmic, I've seen his work and it's beyond fantastic. But this is my legion I'm building and ill have more pride in it when I have my own painted figures. Not tryn to offend anyone tho! But thanks

i second that sapperq21, i think cosmic is preforming miracles but i prefer my own army painted low grade, but by me biggest part of the hobby is the building and painting... (lot's of love for your work cosmic ) af for angron, how about painting him classic black with red trims, small gold details? make the face a bit pale to stand out. maybe use the leather straps under the arms to make a strong colour point, bright red or something.. hope this helps

You're right I do prefer to paint my own but a figure of this standing needs something special.

Actually, for Angron, since he's pretty much pissed off all the time I'd suggest a more ruddy complexion to show that he's angry and flushed, etc.
Still not sure how to go about his armor though. Not really chuffed with the pics of the FW paintjob, and really want to see how the commission Cosmic is working on comes out.

Bonjour! I have arrived.... I like it when people want to paint things themselves be proud of that, Sapper. I'm sure it'll turn out great I'm going for a light bronze on mine, with lots of chipping and dust effects on the base. He's a violent character, always I'm the thick of it, so just remember his armour isn't going to be clean at all

FW one is based on the look he's given in the HH books. He is described as being pale as he is in constant agony due to the 'butchers nails' implanted into his skull on Nuceria.
He was only found by the Emperor about 100 years before the heresy but his stability had degraded so much that by the time of the heresy he was barely able to fight like a Primarch, let alone think like one, at this point he just feels constant agony and is dying.
So yeah, I'd go with pale face and an inverse of the Berserker look, bronze armour with blood red trimmings.

They have a conversion table on the GW site. And that's exactly how I wanna do it

I know I saw a conversion table in WD back when all the names changed, but since I haven't even bought any of the new paints yet it's been a non-issue for me. IIRC, Tycho may have been painted using Shining Gold as the initial metallic. All of the others were Burnished Gold for the metal base. To shade them I basically applied two washes of the ink or the wash.

the closest thing ive gotten to what you just showed me is what i used for my sapce wolves army, took tin bitz as the base and then drybrushed dwarf bronze over it, came out pretty good
