WIP: The Kashlenn 705th

Hey guys!

So after a hell of a lot of months of planning my Imperial guard army I have finally settled on the way forward and I am really looking forward to showing you guys what will be on the way, it's going to be a lot of work but so worth it, This is the first army I have ever painted in 40k with heart so I do not claim to be some super artist but I am proud of what I do.

so here we have a taster for you.



This is Colonel Drance Valmir, the leader of the Kashlenn 705th and his Cyber hound bodyguard, this to date is my proudest model, he has been made using the main body of a Death Korps Commissar with Sgt Telions head and Las\Hell Pistols from FW. the hound is from the Arbites set from Necromunda.



This is Sgt Harper and 2 members of his Veteran squad, I really love the look of this veteran squad... yes I know Shotguns! but they look so bad ass



This is my first veteran squad and Valmir with bodyguard and Sgt Harper

Great work Voxnet! I aprove of Shotuns massivley! Get a few Melta's in that squad and you have a pretty good Tank Hunting unit capable of doing okay if they charge. They look pretty good! Keep them coming

Good call on the Melta's why didn't I think of that... I always had worries with Shotguns that they were not so great but I just love the look of that squad.

Ah a heretic, interesting, I have just started a Chaos army, being such an imperial fan, this was a hard thing to do but I fancied a change... so yeah I bought Dark Vengeance haha

I am hoping to more I post of my army the more I will push myself to complete it. has been a grey army for a long time

I know that feeling all too well... Although I have done quite well recently, I managed to paint up my Hellbrute and Chosen this past week, so my army is slowly getting somewere. Next task is to try and convert an old 3rd ed Rhino into a Nurgle Rhino for my Chosen. Should be fun I found that the Chaos mini's in the Dark Vengeance set are a treat to paint. The miniatures are beautiful, as are the Dark Angels. I really think that the set was a huge improvment over Assault on Black Reach.

Cool man, Sounds like you have it owned! I must admit to having a soft spot for the Chaos Cultists, I think the models are just damn cool and the Hellbrute if just the essence of Chaos.

I think I will focus on my guard though at the moment until they are complete, that is where my heart is, can't shake my faith the imperium

I have some interesting idea's coming up for this army, I have it pretty much split into two section.

Section A: Standard Cadian troops including Heavy Weapons, Leman Russ, Valkyries

Section B: Scout\Recon troops, including rough riders (troops on Scout bikes), Special weapon teams, Chimeras, BaneWolf, Ratlings and Marbo.

That's the rough basis of it, I am looking forward to getting my scouts going, for this I will be using....

Cadian troops with cloaks and some hoods from the fantasy elves kits,

The Rough riders will be made from Cadian\Catahan troops and the Scout bikes.

Going to be awesome!

Looks promising, nice to see someone else who recognizes where Harper comes from.

Only one thing though. Where IS Haroper's BFG? You've only given him a pistol which is far from either a volley gun or a heavy bolter. Right now he looks more like Bastonne than Hark/per...
