IG newbie reporting for duty!
I know we can't talk about the rules in here, but can anyone tell me where I can look to see how much a demolition charge costs? I see it listed in the Armory description section, but not in the chart.
Also, who can use demo charges and when?
Plz help.

The points cost is shown in the special weapons squad, which is located in the HQ section of the codex. You can get 1 demo charge per squad and when he throws it that's it.
EDIT: When can someone use it? when they are within 6" of the enemy.

if you're taking doctrines, getting demo charges means that you'll have to take the special weapons squad selection off the restricted unit list. once you've taken special weapon squads with a doctrine point, then like madman said, you can get 1 demo charge per special weapon squad and they're 1 shot weapons with limited range but devastating potential.

Only problem is that darn Scatter Dice, It could wash back over the Squad or the thrower himself. so it does have it downsides.

that makes absolutly no sense though if you are going to throw a explosive the equivilent to 10 pacs of C4 you would probably throw it forward. right. not opps darn there it goes in the squad again i am such a butterfingers. or does it just bounce off the tank im confused. ;D racet ball style
cheers dethklok

I envision it more like: guardsman arms demo charge enemies eyes go wide...."oh no you don't mister guardsman" BANG. guardsman takes a shot to the head and drops the demo charge. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM liquified guardsmen

In fact demo charges can be very useful but also very, very dangerous!!!! A poor roll with your dice and it is your own squad which is blown up!!!

If you can take at least some enemies with you it's all fine. I vaporized my platoon HQ once with a Lemen Russ, but the loss was worth it. I killed an BT chaplain with jumppack and half of his squad. My opponent was short for crying cause he only rolled a 5 when redeploying after a won CC, a six and he would have reached the platoon HQ So live with losses and if you have problems to learn it start playing Skaven in Warhammer Fantasy and you'll never have problems with it as they shoot their own troops that are bound in CC...
